Washington has clearly improved on offense since John Wall returned to the lineup, but it is really on defense where they are impressing me. They won a run and gun game against Minnesota and then, in the following day, they won a half court game against Chicago! The Wizards is full of very confident players right now, their bench is playing extremely well, while Emeka Okafor and Nene Hilario are showing to have great chemistry on the frontcourt! They are also being turnover free on offense and they are deadly on their transition plays.
The Wizards lost at Sacramento by 1 point two weeks ago, in a game where they led almost the whole time, just to choke down the stretch. However, the Wizards were on a poor spot at the time, as it was their first game of the road trip and they had just 1 day off to travel from Washington DC to Sacramento. So, this is a good revenge spot for them against a Kings team that was absolutely crushed at Denver on their last game. The Nuggets scored 33 fast break points, shot 22-24 FG on transitions and 25-35 FG at the rim! Sacramento's defense is non-existent, while their offense has no ball movement and no flow.
Washington's offense won't have problems tonight in scoring against a struggling Kings's defense. Sacramento's transition defense is horrible, their rim defense is terrible as well and Washington's improved offense will simply explore these two areas to have a good offensive game. Unlike Sacramento, Washington has now a well-defined rotation and so, the Wizards will have a huge chemistry edge over the Kings tonight. With Washington's defense limiting DeMarcus Cousins, Sacramento's offense is simply a train-wreck Washington has revenge in here, they have in Sacramento an easy matchup and so, I expect the Wizards to crush Sacramento tonight.
