Houston made some offensive adjustments after their home loss against Denver and no doubt that they've worked. They easily won at New Orleans and they also crushed the Nets at home. Note that both games were slow paced ones, so they weren't at the normal uptempo style of Houston, but the team still had offensive ratings of 114 and 128 in those games! The key for that was the better spacing and of course their ability to run and score in transition: 27, 22, 20 and 27 fast break points on their last 4 games!
For today in Utah, their gameplan will be the same against Utah's big frontcourt, however Houston's offense will have a tremendous edge on their backcourt against Utah's slow footed guards. Utah is #28 on pick and roll ball handler defense, while Houston's offense is #2 on this kind of plays! On the other side, Utah's offense will adapt well to the uptempo style, as this is something that they normally do on home games! Utah has been having solid post up numbers and just like the Rockets, they are also a very good team in transition, having scored 21, 17, 17 and 18 fast break points on their last 4 games! I expect this game to be a fast paced one, with both teams having good offensive games, therefore I expect a clear shootout and so, I'l be taking the Over in here.
