From what I've watched of the game between the Lakers and the Grizzlies, I like the effort of the LA team in the 14 minutes where Dwight Howard played and made both Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph struggle on his own by putting both players in early foul trouble. But when Howard left the game, Memphis comfortably controlled the game. Howard is probable for tonight and curiously he will be involved in another physical battle tonight, this time against Utah's powerful frontcourt. This should new another physical battle where Howard will make Utah's frontcourt struggle a lot, just like it happened in Memphis. Utah with Jamaal Tinsley as their starting PG won't crush Steve Nash, in the same way that the speed Mike Conley did it in the Lakers's last game. Utah has a bad perimeter offense, so the Lakers have a good chance of having a good defensive game tonight.
The team from LA has been decreasing their game pace, as a run and gun style doesn't suit them and their offense is likely to have some edges tonight with Steve Nash, as Utah is just #28 on pick and roll ball handler defense with 0.87 PPP, while Kobe Bryant will have a favorable matchup against the undersized Randy Foye. With the Lakers having Howard being competitive and their backcourt defense not getting crushed tonight, I see the Lakers having a nice spot to have a good win tonight, on a game where they should have a very good defensive performance against a Jazz team that isn't really impressive on the road. Therefore, I'll be taking both the Lakers in a Single Dime Play and the Under in here in a Double Dime Play!
