Milwaukee hasn't changed anything on their style since Scott Skiles left the team. The difference is that they are playing with more self-trust, especially with Ersan Ilyasova playing at a nice level once again. Milwaukee's offense is having a good ball movement, with Mike Dunleavy and Beno Udrih giving more options to their second unit. This was how the Bucks crushed the Suns at home recently, with a great second half from Milwaukee that saw the Suns struggling on their shooting and then showing no effort on defense to compensate that.
That game was a fast paced one, but it's important to note that it was Milwaukee's first game without Scott Skiles and of course, their players were motivated to show that they deserve the trust from their new coach. Phoenix shot 21-26 FT on that game, but besides that they were very well limited by the Bucks's defense. Both teams had a lot of second chance points via offensive rebounds, in a combined effort of 12-24 FG on offensive rebounding plays! If it wasn't that and the game would have had clearly less points score than it had. Also Milwaukee's sharp outside shooting game with 9-23 FG from 16-23 feet and 9-17 on 3pts really inflationated the score.
Phoenix has been defending much better at home than on the road and they are rested for tonight. However, with a banged up Goran Dragic, their offense just isn't the same. Milwaukee's good rim defense will limit Marcin Gortat and Luis Scola tonight, so the Suns will once again struggle against Milwaukee's defense. The Bucks with everybody healthy will have a clear second unit edge than the Suns and they have a great chance of finally winning at Phoenix for the first time since 1987 (0-24 L24 Games!). I believe that will happen today, so I'll be take the Bucks on the Moneyline. As I also expect a relatively low scoring game tonight, I'll be also taking the Under in here.
