NBA Free Premium Play 01/19: Cleveland Cavaliers @ Utah Jazz

Cleveland  at Utah
NBA - 511 Cleveland Cavaliers @ 512 Utah Jazz

Projected Line: 202 points

Utah had 4 days to rest prior to this game, after a tough home game against Miami. They have been taking advantage of the good spots to have better offensive performances, as they are averaging 109.16 offensive rating with at least 1 day of rest, while they average 107.80 for the season. The Jazz's offense will have a nice matchup on the frontcourt against Cleveland's poor interior defense. The Cavaliers only have Tristan Thompson and Tyler Zeller available on the frontcourt, with Luke Walton having to play some minutes at the PF position!

Utah with their four frontcourt players will have a super edge down low. Utah's offense has a high volume of post up plays (#10 in efficiency), while they are also decent on transition plays by being #13 in the league. This is worrying for Cleveland's defense that is #29 on post ups and #24 on transitions. These defensive struggles were evident at Sacramento, a team that also has a good frontcourt and like to attack in transition. In that game, the Kings scored 17 fast break points and 52 points in the paint! With the Jazz being super rested, they will pound Cleveland's lack of depth tonight.

Curiously, we also have a huge for Cleveland's offense over Utah's defense, with Kyrie Irving leading the team's offense with pick and rolls. This is exactly the weakest link of Utah's defense, as they are just #28 on pick and roll ball handler defense. Utah's defense is also just #30 on spot ups, so Cleveland might be able to have a good outside shooting game in here as well, as Kyrie Irving will attract a lot of attention from Utah's defense and this will give a lot of space to the other players in the backcourt. I expect a high scoring game in here and so, I'll be taking the Over on this contest.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 511/512 Over 198,5 @ -110 / 1.91 on 5Dimes
