As poor as the Bobcats's offense is, they have two key edges against Chicago's defense in pick and roll ball handler plays and transitions. However, the Bulls have been improving on their pick and roll ball handler defense lately (they are already #13 in the league), so the only edge that the Bobcats's offense will have in here will be in transitions. Charlotte won't have any chances down low, as not only they don't have good offensive talent for this area, as Chicago's frontcourt defense is very good. So, the key for Charlotte's offense tonight will be on the perimeter. The Bobcats have been improving on their outside game and they have been shooting 42% FG from 16-23 feet and 38% 3pts over their last 10 games! However, they won't have an easy task on this area, as Chicago's defense has been allowing just 32% FG from 16-23 feet and 29.3% 3pts over their last 10 games, in an incredible defensive effort from them! So, Charlotte's only edge on offense will really be on transitions, but Chicago will set a slow pace on the game, in order to avoid turnovers and if that indeed happens, Charlotte's offense is going to get completely shutdown tonight.
On the other hand, Charlotte's defense is poor on the perimeter, as they focus on protecting the rim, where they are indeed a good team with 63% FG allowed for the season and 59% FG allowed over their last 10 games! The Bobcats will have problems on the rebounds, but with Chicago's offense being very unimpressive from the outside, especially with Luol Deng out. Therefore, I don't believe Chicago will take full advantage of the Bobcats's poor perimeter defense tonight. Therefore, I see this game being a very low scoring game and so, I'll be taking the Under in here.
