NBA Premium Play 01/27: Miami Heat @ Boston Celtics

NBA - 801 Miami Heat @ 802 Boston Celtics

Projected Line: Miami by 7 points

Boston is coming from a loss in overtime against Atlanta, in a game where it was clear how inconsistent these two teams are. First of all, it was Atlanta who just didn't know what to do on offense during the first quarter. Then, the opposite happened with Boston wasting a 27 points lead, with Kyle Korver torching them with great perimeter shooting, while the Celtics kept committing turnover after turnover that the Hawks kept on taking advantage of them with quick transition plays. On overtime, Boston didn't have legs to hang with Atlanta. The Celtics made a huge effort on this game, with Rajon Rondo playing 45 minutes, Paul Pierce 40 minutes and Kevin Garnett 38 minutes.

The Celtics will finish today a span of three tough games, where they can't stay consistent for 48 minutes, no wonder they are on a losing streak. The Heat are a very confident team right now, with everybody being healthy. Dwayne Wade is playing at his best and Miami's transition game will have a huge edge over the Celtics's transition defense that is #30 in the league! Just like it happens with the Heat, Boston is terrible on offensive rebounding and Kevin Garnett isn't dominating anymore down low, so this isn't a typical poor matchup for Miami against a powerful frontcourt team anymore.

Miami's offense is #4 in the league in turnover rate with just 14.2% and they have been even better lately with 6, 14 (OT game) and 12 on their last three games! They are showing great consistency and confidence on offense, something that Boston simply doesn't have. The Celtics just keeps shooting from the 16-23 feet area, but Miami has been great on defending at this area lately with just 29% FG allowed over the last 10 games. Miami generally struggles at Boston, but they aren't having mental breakdowns anymore, and on games where they are focused and their opponent struggles, the Heat win easily without problems. Just take a look on what happened in LA against the Lakers. I believe the Heat won't have problems in outplaying the Celtics today, so I'll be taking them in here.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 801 Miami Heat (-3,5) @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
