NBA Premium Play 01/18: Charlotte Bobcats @ Orlando Magic

NBA - 801 Charlotte Bobcats @ 802 Orlando Magic

Projected Line: Orlando by 4 points

Charlotte is coming from some games where they were on poor spots, where they simply couldn't be competitive and they also got completely outrebounded in their last four games by grabbing just 45.52%, 42.77%, 44.74% and 34.35% of the rebounds. I understand their problems against Indiana, as the Pacers have a tough frontcourt, with a pretty athletic roster, but the same happening against Toronto and Boston isn't good news, as this also prevents the Bobcats from having transition chances, where they are actually quite decent on offense. Orlando is #21 on offensive rebound rates in the league, so Charlotte has a decent spot tonight to have a better rebounding game than in their last games. Besides the transition plays, Charlotte has also been a great team on pick and roll ball handler plays by being #2 in the league and Orlando's defense actually struggles against transitions (#22) and pick and roll ball handler plays (#24), so Charlotte has a nice chance to have a good offensive game tonight. On the previous game between these two games, Charlotte explored well these edges by scoring 20 fast break points with 8-14 FG on transitions, while both guards had monster games with Kemba Walker shooting 11-20 FG and Ramon Sessions 5-10 FG.

On the other hand, Charlotte's defense is decent on pick and rolls by being #16 in the team and they should be able to limit Jameer Nelson and the Magic's pick and rolls tonight, as Orlando is just #13 in the league. Orlando is coming from a nice win over Indiana with a sharp outside shooting game, but I heavily doubt that they can do that two times in a row, even though the Bobcats's perimeter defense isn't very good. I believe the Bobcats have a good matchup tonight to make this game close, therefore I'll be taking Charlotte in here.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 801 Charlotte Bobcats (+7) @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
