Portland has a good chance to have a great offensive night in here, as Portland is almost a top 10 team in pick and roll ball handler plays, pick and roll roll man plays and post ups due to Damian Lillard/LaMarcus Aldridge combination. It's curious to see that Milwaukee's defense is #8 on pick and roll ball handler defense, but at the same time they are #28 on pick and roll roll man defense! Portland will also have an edge on offensive boards tonight, as Milwaukee has been a poor team on defensive rebounding team this season.
Portland hasn't been playing well lately and that has been a normal regression, as they had a tough schedule with 9 games in 15 days and we know that they lack the depth on their roster to perform well on tough spots. Milwaukee is coming from a nice road win in Phoenix against the struggling Suns on a late comeback. However, the Bucks continue being very inconsistent and Monta Ellis and Brandon Jennings had a combined of 10 turnovers in the team's last game. I believe these two players will be outplayed by Damian Lillard and Wesley Matthews tonight, while LaMarcus Aldridge will also have a good edge over Ersan Ilyasova. I believe the Blazers will also have the upperhand down the stretch over the Bucks tonight, so I'll be taking Portland tonight.
