NBA Premium Play 01/19: Memphis Grizzlies @ Chicago Bulls

NBA - 507 Memphis Grizzlies @ 508 Chicago Bulls

Projected Line: 172 points

We have teams in bad spots in here. Memphis had a big trip from home to Chicago, while the Bulls are coming from an overtime game at Boston, on a very intense contest and with Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer playing 45 and 43 minutes respectively. For tonight, Luol Deng is out, so Jimmy Cutler will play on his place and he is a good defender. This game will definitely be a pure half court battle. It's interesting to note that Memphis faced top teams in pace factor in three of the last four games and still, those games were super slow paced games: 84.81 versus Dallas (92.5 season average), 86.27 versus San Antonio (92.7 season average) and 87.55 versus Sacramento (90.8 season average). Now against a team that also plays at a slow tempo, this game will definitely be a super slow paced game.

Chicago's defense has been top notch, but with struggles on pick and rolls where they are #19 in the league and also on transitions, where they are #25. This explains why Kyle Lowry and Rajon Rondo had big games against Chicago. However, Memphis is one of the worst pick and roll ball handler offenses by being ranked just #27, so Chicago's defense will be ready to go against Memphis's offense. We all know that the Grizzlies like to pound their opponents down low, but Chicago is #1 on post up defense and #3 on points in the paint allowed. On the other hand, Chicago's offense will struggle without Luol Deng and they also struggle on poor spots (105.75 offensive rating on rested spots versus 101.6 on back to back spots). Chicago's frontcourt has been playing well on offense, with Carlos Boozer being amazing lately, however Memphis's interior defense has been outstanding this season. I expect a super slow scoring game in here and so, I'll be taking the Under in here.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 507/508 Under 176 @ -110 / 1.91 on Betonline
