NBA Premium Play 01/18: Toronto Raptors @ Philadelphia 76ers

NBA - 803 Toronto Raptors @ 804 Philadelphia 76ers

Projected Line: 184 points

***DOUBLE DIME PLAY***

Philadelphia is coming from a home loss against New Orleans, where the Hornets's offense played very well by running and scoring in transition, with a season high 22 fast break points and 8-9 FG in transitions. They also shot deadly from the outside with 9-22 FG from 16-23 feet and 10-18 3pts. Toronto is coming from a loss in overtime against Chicago, where their main problem was once again their fragile frontcourt line, as they don't have depth or power to stop the opposing frontcourt.

This is why Brooklyn's frontcourt pounded them with Brook Lopez shooting 6-12 FG and 10-10 FT and Andray Blatche shooting 7-10 FG, while on this last game against the Bulls, Carlos Boozer had a monster game with 16-24 FG and 36 points. The good part for Toronto in tonight's contest is that Philadelphia doesn't have quality frontcourt player to have the impact Brooklyn and Chicago had against the Raptors. Therefore, Toronto's defense will definitely have a much easier spot tonight, especially because Philadelphia's offense depends a lot from Jrue Holiday and what he is capable of doing in the pick and rolls, but Toronto's defense is #2 on pick and rolls and they will limit Holiday's offense tonight.

After a poor defensive performance against the Hornets, I expect Philadelphia to have more focus on defense tonight. Toronto isn't a team that can run and score in transition, besides the fact that the Raptors aren't also a good shooting team, at least not at the level of New Orleans. Therefore, I believe this contest will be a low scoring affair, with both teams being able to limit the opposing offenses with considerable success. So, I'll be taking the Under in here on a Double Dime Play.

Pick: 4 units (Double Dime Play) on 803/804 Under 190 @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
