UEFA Champions League Playoffs 08/22: Braga (POR) vs Udinese (ITA)

UEFA Champions League Playoffs - Sporting Braga (POR) vs Udinese (ITA)

Braga is already a very experienced team on this kind of competitions and they have been great in European competitions, including reaching an Europa League final two seasons ago. For this season, they changed their head coach by hiring Jose Pereiro, who is more offensive minded than their previous coaches. Peseiro wants his teams to dominate the ball possession and to create chances in build up plays, unlike their previous coaches. They've already played their first game of the Portuguese league and they got a draw on the road against Benfica, one of the top teams in the league (second favorite to win the title). I watched that game and Braga played toe to toe with Benfica, with the final score being a 2-2 draw.

For today, I have no doubts that Udinese will come to this game with a defensive minded approach. They'll try to draw this game to solve this tie in the second leg, however Braga with their new mindset will put a lot of pressure on Udinese. The Italian team had a good season last year, but they're much weaker for this season. They lost Handanivic, Asamoah and Isla without replacing him with players with a similar level. Also one of their best players Muriel is out for today, something that will leave their best player Di Natale alone in the attack and without any kind of decent support from his teammates.

With Braga being a much more experienced team than Udinese at this level and with them being more prepared for this game (this will be Udinese's first official game of the season), I expect the Portuguese to take advantage of the edges they have tonight and get the win in here. I see a lot of value on the Portuguese club on this game and so, I'll take Braga to win today.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on Sporting Braga ML @ +105 / 2.05 on 5 Dimes
