After losing clearly yesterday the first game of this series, the Astros will start Norris today, who is coming from a career-high nine straight decisions. He has also hurt this foot on his last start and looking at the fact that he is coming from a bunch of consecutive poor outings, including his last game in Chicago against the Cubs where he allowed eight hits and six earned runs in just 3.1 IP, with a 16.20 ERA and 15.10 FIP. He has a good record at home, but on the road he is a disaster with 7.50 ERA, 5.74 FIP and 4.93 xFIP. Against the powerful offense of the Cardinals, Norris is going down big time tonight.
Lohse will start for St Louis and he has produced quality starts in 13 of his last 14 games. As this shows, Lohse has been very consistent this season and the groundball SP is having a career year. Houston has no power and Lohse will dominate them with groundballs after groundballs. With Lohse dominating the lowly batters of Houston and Norris being crushed by St Louis hitting, I believe the Cardinals will have another very easy win tonight like they had yesterday and so, I'll take them in here on the Runline. Double Dime Play!
