(Starting Pitchers: M. Buehrle vs J. Saunders)
Arizona is still in the mix of the NL West and they will be facing today the SP Buehrle, who is coming from a win against the Phillies, where he allowed two runs over seven innings. Still, he allowed seven runs (four earned) against the Diamondbacks back in April. However, looking at how well Arizona hits against LH pitchers and especially Buehrle (.300 BA and .847 OPS in 140 AB), I believe the Dbacks will put Buehrle in a lot of danger today, especially after bouncing back offensively on their last two games against Houston.
On the other side, Arizona will start Saunders, who has lost three of his last four starts, including five runs allowed in six innings on his last start against St Louis. He injured his thumb during the game and even though he said he is fine, the truth is that Miami is hitting .313 BA and .940 OPS in 83 AB against them and looking at the fact he isn't looking in good form right now, I believe the Marlins have a good shot of causing problems to him as well on this game.
Therefore, with both SP prone to struggle today, I'll be taking the Over on this contest.
