After being swept by the White Sox and having a day off yesterday, the Yankees will start this series with Sabathia back on the mount. He is carrying a five-game winning streak prior to his injury and he felt good after throwing a 38-pitch bullpen session Tuesday. This is a good spot for him, as he dominates the Cleveland hitters, with .212 BA and .621 OPS in 104 AB's. The Indians are mostly a LH lineup and they are #25 against LH pitchers, while Sabathia is #4 in the league against LH batters. So, I expect an easy outing for Sabathia tonight on this comeback game.
I can't expect the same for the struggling Kluber, who will be making his fifth start of his career tonight. He has been struggling with his control by issuing three walks in two of his last three outings. He has allowed 4, 6, 3 and 6 runs on his four starts, with a 6.27 ERA, 5.78 FIP and 4.80 xFIP. Against the powerful and very patient Yankees offense, he'll be creamed tonight.
With such a SP and batting edge, I have no doubts in taking the Yankees on the Runline tonight.
