MLB - 903 Houston Astros @ 904 St Louis Cardinals
(Starting Pitchers: D. Keuchel vs J. Westbrook)
The Cardinals struggled to beat Houston last night, even though they had 9 hits while the Astros had just 3 hits, however the 2-11 RISP the Cardinals had made them struggle to finally be able to win the game. Houston will start the rookie Keuchel today and he has allowed seven earned runs on his last three starts, while having also walked more batters (28) than strikeouts (25). After four horrible starts, Keuchel somewhat bounced back on his last three games, however against a Cardinals lineup in full force today, I don't expect Keuchel to have a good start or at least not good enough to compensate the lack of runs Houston will have today against Westbrook.
After signing a new contract yesterday, Westbrook will surely be very motivated to have a good start today. He is 12-9 this season with a 3.50 ERA and he has been very solid by going deep in the game and by throws a lot of groundballs. This offense of the Astros doesn't scare anybody and he should have a very dominating outing today.
Even though Keuchel won't likely be as shockingly bad as he was in some of his previous outing today, the Cardinals offense is one of the best in the league and he won't be able to handle them today. On the other hand, Westbrook is on a great spot for dominate the poor Astros lineup and therefore, I can only expect an easy win for St Louis today. So, I'll be taking the Cards in here on the Runline.
