On his pitchers duel, the Giants will start Bumgarner, who has been great lately and he is coming from a game against the Nationals, where he allowed one run and five hits on his first complete game of the season. His last six outings were excellent and only against the Cardinals on the road he suffered a bit, but still only allowed 3 runs. He had 5 days rest for this contest and with the Dodgers coming from a series in Atlanta, this is surely a great spot for Bumgarner to have another dominant performance.
The problem for the Giants is that they will face another SP in some amazing form, as Kershaw is 4-0 with a 1.78 ERA on his last four games, including a game in Pittsburgh last Wednesday, where he allowed three runs in 8IP. Kershaw is 1-2 with a 1.57 ERA against the Giants this season and with 2.17 FIP + 3.32 xFIP & 2.67 FIP + 2.77 xFIP over the last two months, he looks ready to dominate the Giants' lineup once again.
On such a matchup between two excellent SPs in great form, I can only expect a pitchers duel on this contest, with both SP dominating the opposing batters. Therefore, I expect a game with very few runs scored and so, I'll take the Under in here.
