MLB Free Premium Play 08/24: Minnesota Twins @ Texas Rangers

Minnesota  at Texas
MLB - 977 Minnesota Twins @ 978 Texas Rangers

(Starting Pitchers: S. Deduno vs M. Harrison)

Minnesota will be starting their SP Deduno tonight and he is coming from his first career loss in eight losses, in a game played in Seattle against the Mariners. He allowed two runs and five hits in 6.0IP, but walked a season-high six batters. He has been struggling with his command with 36 walks in 46 innings pitched. He has already faced Texas this season, in a game where he allowed three runs and six hits in 5.1 IP. However, with his 30/36 K/BB ratio, .249 BABIP, 5.93 FIP and 6.18 xFIP, I can't expect him to sustain his apparent good performances (4-1 with 3.33 ERA). Therefore, I expect Texas to take advantage of the walks Deduno will surely give them and pound him heavily tonight, as they have already batted against him this season.

On the other side, Texas will start Harrison, who is coming from a good outing in Toronto, where he allowed just two runs and two hits in 8IP. He is coming from back to back starts where his FIP was lower than 4.00 plus he has had three good outings on his last four starts. He is performing a bounce back this month after some problems in previous outings and against a struggling Twins offense, I expect Harrison to have a decent performance tonight.

With Texas having a clear SP and hitting edge tonight, I can only expect an easy win for the Rangers tonight and so, I'll take them on the Runline in here.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 978 Texas Rangers RL -1.5 (w/ M. Harrison) @ -115 / 1.87 on Bookmaker
