MLB - 921 Chicago White Sox @ 922 Kansas City Royals
(Starting Pitchers: J. Quintana vs J. Guthrie)
Surprisingly, Kansas City is 2-0 on this series and they'll try to sweep the White Sox today. For that, they will start Guthrie today, who has been amazing lately! After two terrible starts on his debut for the Royals, he has now thrown three straight amazing starts with an 1.29 ERA, a K/BB ratio of 18/4 and a run of 15 straight scoreless innings. He has already faced the White Sox and on the road and he dominated them by allowing no runs and just five hits on 8IP.
The White Sox will start Quintana and he has allowed two runs and eight hits in 6.2 IP in Toronto last Tuesday. He has been pitching well, however KC is a terrible matchup for him, as the Royals' roster is hitting .283 BA and .918 OPS against him, so with the Royals being so confident right now on their role of spoilers, I believe they will put Quintana in a lot of trouble once again.
With Guthrie being in such great form and with Quintana traditionally struggling against the Royals, I believe Kansas City has indeed a good chance of sweeping the White Sox on this series! Therefore, I'll be taking the Royals today. Double Dime Play!
