(Starting Pitchers: S. Deduno vs B. Beavan)
Seattle will be trying to sweep the Twins today and to achieve that, they will have to outplay Deduno, who will be Minnesota's SP on this contest. Deduno is coming from a win against the Tigers last Monday, where he allowed three runs and five hits, while striking out six batters and walking five. His command continues being quite poor, but the truth is that he has been having run support and because of that, he is now 4-0 this season. Still, he has a 28/30 K/BB ratio in a total of 40IP and his 1.55 WHIP shows that sooner or later, Deduno will start to struggle and the losses will also start appearing.
The Mariners will start Beavan today and he gave up four runs and eight runs against Tampa Bay last Monday. He had one bad inning where he allowed the four runs, but he was very solid in the other innings. Even though Beavan hasn't been great lately, he has been solid and he will surely give his team a SP edge on this contest against Deduno and his horrible command. Therefore, I expect both teams to score some runs today, especially Seattle, who is a very confident team right now and they should have enough weapons to take advantage of the chances Deduno will throw at them. So, I'll be taking both Seattle and the Over in here.
