Utah is the kind of team that are a tough matchup for Miami due to their frontcourt based game. The same happened with Minnesota, who grabbed 67.68% of the rebounds on their contest against the Heat! Miami still won that game fairly comfortably due to the Wolves' poor spot in that game (fourth game in five nights plus it was a back to back game for them as well), but Utah has two days off to rest prior to this game and they will be in better position to take advantages of their edges in offensive rebounding and paint on this matchup. Since their game against San Antonio at home, Miami is allowing 70% FG at the rim and I expect Utah to pound them down low tonight.
Miami will be without Chris Bosh tonight due to flu, with other players being also suffering from the same flu virus. If Miami doesn't usually have a good inside presence, they get even worse without Bosh. This is also Miami's last game until the Christmas Day game against Oklahoma City, so the Heat may be into a lookahead spot tonight. With Utah having a big edge down low and on rebounds, I expect that to be enough to compensate the edge Miami will have on the perimeter against Utah's poor defense. I expect a tight game in here, so I'll be taking the Jazz today.
