NBA Free Premium Play 12/19: Oklahoma City Thunder @ Atlanta Hawks

Oklahoma City  at Atlanta
NBA - 711 Oklahoma City Thunder @ 712 Atlanta Hawks

Projected Line: 202 points

Atlanta is coming from a road win on overtime against Washington last night, where the Wizards were able to send Atlanta into overtime while shooting just 38% FG due to committing less turnovers, Atlanta shot just 23-34 FT and Washington also dominated the boards by grabbing 54% of the rebounds. Atlanta lost their depth on the backcourt due to injuries of Devin Harris and Anthony Morrow during the game, while Al Horford was terrible with 2-11 FG and just 1 FG attempt at the rim! The Hawks also had to use a lot some of their players last night, with Josh Smith playing 42 minutes, Al Horford 44 minutes, Kyle Korver 39 minutes and Louis Williams 40 minutes.

The Thunder are coming to Atlanta with revenge on their minds after losing at home against Atlanta without Josh Smith earlier on the season. Oklahoma City was dealing with some normal identity problems against the James Harden trade and they were upset by the Hawks. Oklahoma City got pounded by a Hawks small lineup during the second half, with Al Horford using his mobility to outplay Kendrick Perkins and shooting 11-19 FG.

With Devin Harris and Anthony Morrow being doubtful for tonight and DeShawn Stevenson also banged up, Atlanta will lack bodies on the backcourt to defend the Thunder's backcourt. DeShawn Stevenson isn't in good enough physical condition right now to defend Kevin Durant, Kyle Korver isn't a good defender and he will struggle against Kevin Martin, while Serge Ibaka has been playing well on offense lately and he will have some edge down low over Josh Smith.

On the other side, coach Scott Brooks by using both Kendrick Perkins and Serge Ibaka on the frontcourt will struggle on defense once again to stop Atlanta's offense, as the Hawks can really spread the floor with Al Horford and Josh Smith. I see this game being a very good offensive contest, with both teams getting good offensive efficiency on a relatively close game. Therefore, I'll be taking the Over in here.
