Washington is coming from a home loss against Atlanta on overtime last night. In that game, three players had heavy minutes: Bradley Beal played 40 minutes, Jordan Crawford 44 minutes and Martell Webster 37 minutes. Nene Hilario played just 24 minutes, but he had a great game with 5-7 FG, 8-10 FT and 6 assists, but he isn't playing back to back games quite often this season. But when he played in two back to back games, he shot just 39% FG as he is still far from being physically at 100% right now.
With Nene being limited physically, Washington will be even more a pure jump shooting team. Already yesterday against the Hawks, they had more of 60% of their jumpers being from 16 feet or further! Orlando is #2 on 3pts defense with 31.7% allowed, #22 on 16-23 feet defense with 39.3% FG allowed and #2 on spot up defense with 0.86 PPP allowed, so they should be able to limit Washington's offense tonight. That is especially true as Orlando's defense has been struggling against pick and rolls, but Washington with Jordan Crawford at the PG position has been struggling on these kind of plays.
Orlando's offense has been having nice post up numbers with Glen Davis and Nikola Vucevic and Washington's defense isn't good at this area. However, the Wizards defense is good against cuts, therefore Orlando should be struggling on offense as well tonight, as their offense depends a lot from their cuts plays. I expect the Magic to be able to shutdown the Wizards offense in here, while Washington's defense should be also able to limiting Orlando's offense by stopping their cuts into the basket. Therefore, I expect a low scoring game tonight and so, I'll be taking the Under in here. I also expect Orlando to have an easy win tonight, as they have a better spot, a better team and a better offensive matchup than the Wizards tonight, so I'll be also taking the Magic in here.
