NBA Premium Play 12/19: Brooklyn Nets @ New York Knicks

NBA - 707 Brooklyn Nets @ 708 New York Knicks

Projected Line: 188 points | NY Knicks by 3 points

Brooklyn is coming from a home loss against Utah last night, where their starters played heavy minutes: Deron Williams 35 minutes, Joe Johnson 40 minutes, Gerald Wallace 33 minutes and Brook Lopez 30 minutes. The Knicks will be without Steve Novak tonight, while Carmelo Anthony will play, but he will be far from 100%. This will be the third game between these two teams this season, with the first two games having a ridiculously slow pace of 81.26 and 82.20! This wasn't a big surprise, as both teams like to play on halfcourt and both also don't have high volume numbers on transition plays. The Knicks won the last game due to a super outside shooting with 14-28 3pts plus a monster game from Carmelo with 15-24 FG and 10-11 FT, on a 45 points effort!

Now without Steve Novak and with a banged up Carmelo Anthony, things will be different for the Knicks offense. The NY team has been struggling on offense by being way too one-dimensional with their 3pts shots via pick and rolls and spot ups. Brooklyn's defense is #1 on pick and roll ball handler and #12 on spot ups and while they struggled defensively because Utah pounded them down low and on transitions, the Knicks lack the talent to do these two things to the Nets tonight.

With Carmelo Anthony banged up and with Brook Lopez playing this time, Brooklyn will be a dangerous team tonight with more depth down low and with their backcourt having a size edge thanks to Joe Johnson and Deron Williams. I expect the Nets to be very competitive tonight on a low scoring halfcourt game, therefore I'll be taking both the Nets and the Under in here.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 707/708 Under 193 @ -110 / 1.91 on 5Dimes
