NBA Premium Play 12/17: San Antonio Spurs @ Oklahoma City Thunder

NBA - 709 San Antonio Spurs @ 710 Oklahoma City Thunder

Projected Line: Oklahoma City by 11 points | 204 points

***DOUBLE DIME PLAY***

This is just the wrong time for San Antonio to face Oklahoma City. On the first game between these two teams this season, San Antonio won at home against a Thunder team that had just traded James Harden and that didn't have enough time to prepare for that game. Things will be much different tonight. San Antonio has been able to survive without a true SF (Kawhi Leonard and Stephen Jackson are injured) on the court by using Danny Green at the SF position and Gary Neal as a SG. Manu Ginobili has also been playing some minutes at the SF position and even Boris Diaw has played at that position.

The problem for tonight is that Kevin Durant will explore the Spurs' problem at this position and to make things worse for San Antonio, Manu Ginobili is out of tonight's games, so San Antonio will be shorthanded on the backcourt tonight. The Spurs have been struggling on transition defense lately and they haven't been sharp at their perimeter defense anymore. Now on a game against the Thunder, they're going to get pounded in those two areas.

San Antonio used Tim Duncan and Tiago Splitter together in the starting lineup against Boston last Saturday and according to Gregg Popovich, the same will happen tonight. This frontcourt lineup worked very well against an undersized lineup of the Celtics, who were also on a tough physical spot, but I don't think that will happen tonight against the powerful Thunder frontcourt.

Oklahoma City has been inconsistent lately due to their games being against lowly teams. They almost lost against New Orleans, they let Sacramento scored 35 points against them in the fourth quarter, but when it comes to prime time games, they are fully focused and so, they'll take advantage of the Spurs' struggles and get an easy tonight. Therefore, I'll be taking Oklahoma City in here in a Double Dime Play! I'll be also taking the Under in here, as San Antonio will be using a big lineup tonight and with that, the pace will be lower than usual and with their offensive efficiency will also lower their it normally is.

Pick: 4 units (Double Dime Play) on 710 Oklahoma City Thunder (-5) @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker

***ADDED PLAY***
