This is a back to back game for Houston that played an early game yesterday at Toronto. In that game, James Harden played 41 minutes, Chandler Parsons 40 minutes, Marcus Morris 37 minutes and Jeremy Lin 33 minutes. On back to back spot, Houston is only averaging a 97.8 offensive rate, so they have been really struggling on offense on this kind of spots. These two teams have already faced each other in Houston earlier on the season, with the Rockets crushing the Knicks. The NY team wanted to run with Houston (the game had a 99 pace!) and they got crushed. Houston scored 23 fast break points and 54 points in the paint, so I highly doubt that coach Mike Woodson will try to do the same thing tonight.
I expect the Knicks to insert a slow pace on this game and on this kind of scenario, the Rockets' offense will struggle, especially with tired legs. The Knicks will try to attempt a high number of 3pts shots, but with Carmelo Anthony back but not at 100%, I believe this game will turn into a relatively slow paced game, where the Knicks will have a decent offensive game, but the Rockets will struggle and with such a high totals line, I believe this game is going Under the total posted. So, I'll be taking the Under in here.
