NBA Premium Play 11/23: New Orleans Hornets @ Phoenix Suns

NBA - 521 New Orleans Hornets @ 522 Phoenix Suns

Projected Line: Phoenix by 2 points

I believe Phoenix is being very overrated on this contest. They are coming from a big win over Portland, but they had a very favorable matchup, especially with J.J. Hickson out and Nicolas Batum ill. The Blazers just couldn't defend the paint and Phoenix pounded them with a combined of 18-23 FG and 39 points from Marcin Gortat and Jermaine O'Neal. The key for this game is that New Orleans defends well the paint, as their defensive struggles are on the perimeter, as they shown in their last game in Indiana. But Phoenix is very inconsistent on their outside shooting by being just #20 in the league with 32.7% 3pts!

On the other hand, I believe the Hornets will have some edge with Greivis Vasquez, who has been leading the team's offense and helping them in being decent on pick and rolls. Phoenix is #16 in defending pick and roll ball handler and #30 in pick and roll ball man plays, so there is an edge for the Hornets' offense on this area. The Hornets have also been good on the outside shooting and the Suns have been terrible in making the closeouts, with that being the reason why they are last in the league on spot up defense!

Phoenix believe that they are better than they really are after their win against Portland, but the Hornets are a tough matchup for them and they will send the Suns back to reality. I expect the Hornets to be super competitive tonight and so, I'll be taking them in here.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 521 New Orleans Hornets (+5,5) @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
