SOCCER PLAY - UEFA Champions League: Borussia Dortmund vs Ajax

Last season, Dortmund was a relatively inexperienced team in the UEFA competitions and they showed why by coming up short in the group stage of the CL with just 4 points in 6 games (all won at home). Eventually they won again the German Bundesliga and now they surely will look more comfortable in this year’s Champions League as this won’t be a new experience for them like it was last season.
Having said that, we are dealing with a pretty dynamic team! The young star Mario Götze is in good shape and he is coming after 2 great individual performances in the Bundesliga. Winger Reus is rested for today, their striker Lewandowski scored one goal this past weekend so Dortmund is pretty confident going for today’s game. Their fast tempo and dynamic game from the sidelines will create major problems to Ajax in my opinion.
Ajax’s defense is like every Dutch team: mediocre at best. They have some absences for today and their offensive minded style will be just overpowered by a superior talented team.
