MLB - 919 Cleveland Indians @ 920 Detroit Tigers
(Starting Pitchers: J. Masterson vs R. Porcello)
The Indians will start Masterson tonight and he has been very inconsistent lately. He has allowed seven or eight earned runs in four of his last seven starts, so he should definitely be in trouble tonight against a powerful Tigers lineup, looking to bounce back after yesterday's loss.
Detroit will start Porcello, who pitched for just five innings against Kansas City on his last outing, while allowing two runs and eight hits. Porcello has been a very consistent pitcher as of late by only allowing a maximum of four runs on his last five outings, even he has faced some powerful teams like the Yankees, Texas, Baltimore, the Angels and then Kansas City. Therefore, I expect him to have another good outing at home against the Indians.
With Detroit ready to pound Masterson tonight and Porcello with everything to comfortably handle the Indians lineup today, I believe the Tigers will have an easy win tonight and so, I'll take them in here.
