(Starting Pitchers: P. Walters vs J. Peavy)
After yesterday's humiliating loss by 9-18, the White Sox have a good spot to get revenge today, with Peavy on the mount. Peavy is coming from a poor outing in Detroit, where he allowed six runs in six innings, however this game came in a poor spot for him, as he was dealing with an eye infection and a new position in the rotation due to Floyd's absence. Now against the Twins, I expect Peavy to bounce back and to dominate the Twins on this early game.
Minnesota will start Walters today and after being impressive when he was called up in May, he quickly went downhill afterwards and couldn't even regain his best level in the minors, where he had a 4.56 ERA in 542.1 career innings. He wasn't impressive in Triple-A and so, I don't believe he will be impressive today in the major league against a good hitting team like the White Sox.
As I believe Peavy will bounce back today, while Walters will struggle, I expect an easy win for the White Sox and so, I'll be taking them in here.
