MLB - 955 Houston Astros @ 956 Pittsburgh Pirates
(Starting Pitchers: F. Abad vs K. Correia)
Houston will start Abad tonight and he has been terrible on his first two starts with the team, with 12.46 ERA/10.03 FIP/7.09 xFIP and 2.25 ERA/5.86 FIP/7.33 xFIP in those outings. He allowed one run against the Mets (but had a 2/4 K/BB ratio) and then against Cincinnati, he got crushed with six runs allowed in 4.1 innings. He has no strikeout ability, he isn't looking like a MLB SP and therefore, I expect the Pirates to pound him today.
The Pirates will start Correia, who did a nice job on the bullpen over the last few weeks, including a 4IP relief in Milwaukee, where he didn't allow a single run. He has also been a decent SP over the season and therefore, I don't believe he will have problems tonight against a poor Astros lineup. With Abad surely struggling more than Correia tonight, I believe the Pirates will have an easy win in here and so, I'll be taking them on this contest.
