Houston will start Norris, who is definitely a completely different pitcher at home, as his numbers show (2.18 ERA, .215 BA, 2.65 FIP and 2.83 xFIP)! He is coming from a complete domination against the Giants at home, where he used his slider to outplay the Giants' lineup. The same should happen today, as Cincinnati isn't a good hitting team against slider (#20 in the league), so I expect Norris to have a good outing today, especially with the Reds not having Ludwick and Rolen in their starting lineup today.
Arroyo will start for Cincinnati and he is coming from an outing against the Dbacks, where he allowed two runs in six innings. He has improved lately, especially in terms of walks and homeruns allowed, however his advanced numbers are still worrying, as his 4.99 FIP and 4.59 xFIP in August shows. Therefore, I wouldn't be surprised if Houston is capable of putting him in some minor problems today.
I expect this game to be a low scoring one due to Norris' domination at home and Houston's ineffective offense. However, I expect Norris to keep the Reds cold on offense and the Astros to be still able to score a couple of runs today, making this game a highly competitive one. Therefore, I'll be taking Houston today. Split the wager!
