MLB - 957 Milwaukee Brewers @ 958 Miami Marlins
(Starting Pitchers: M. Fiers vs R. Nolasco)
Milwaukee has been red hot on offense lately and they'll start Fiers, who is coming from another quality outing, this time against the Cubs, where he allowed just one run and four hits in 7.1 innings. He had two struggling performances in early August against Colorado and Philadelphia, but he bounced back and even with those two poor outings, his season ERA is still at 2.85! Now against a Marlins lineup, I don't expect Fiers to struggle today and so, he should dominate today.
On the other hand, Miami will start Nolasco, who is coming from a complete game shutout. He dominated the Nationals, who were terrible on that game, but the truth is that he had allowed four or more runs in seven of his previous eight outings, therefore this has a good outing in the middle of a bunch of poor outings. Milwaukee has been hitting lights out lately and considering the fact that the Brewers' roster has been hitting .353 BA and .912 OPS against him in 85 AB's, I believe Nolasco will have a clear letdown today and have another struggling outing.
With Fiers dominating and Nolasco struggling against the red hot Brewers offense, I expect an easy win for Milwaukee today and so, I'll take them in here.
