NBA Premium Play 03/27: Atlanta Hawks @ Toronto Raptors

NBA - 757 Atlanta Hawks @ 758 Toronto Raptors

Projected Line: 198 points

The Hawks are coming from a game in Indiana, where their starters were pathetically outplayed by the super shorthanded Pacers. Worse than that, Atlanta's rebounding has been horrible as of late, as they grabbed just 46.80%, 42.24%, 43.46%, 46.72%, 45.71%, 39.82% and 43.92% of the rebounds on their last seven games! Therefore, Toronto should have a good rebounding edge tonight. The Hawks should get back into their small ball lineup tonight, so the Raptors with Amir Johnson and Jonas Valanciunas should have a nice edge down low as well. On the other side, the same should happen with Al Horford against the Raptors's interior defense. Toronto has been struggling with turnovers lately, but that won't be very exposed tonight, as Atlanta has stopped pressuring the opposing ball handlers as of late.

But what really makes me believe that this game will be a high scoring game is the fact that both teams have been horrible on their perimeter defense lately. Both teams have allowed +42% FG from 10-15 feet and +40% FG from 16-23 feet on their last 10 games, while Atlanta has allowed 36.7% 3pts and Toronto 42.6% 3pts during the same span of games! Of course Atlanta's perimeter shooting is better than Toronto's, but both teams should really be able to hit a lot of perimeter shots tonight, as they won't be lacking open looks to do it. I expect a relatively fast paced game in here, with both teams taking advantage of the edge they will have on their perimeter shooting to turn this game into a high scoring one. Therefore, I'll be taking the Over in here.
