NBA Premium Play 03/20: Golden State Warriors @ San Antonio Spurs

NBA - 617 Golden State Warriors @ 618 San Antonio Spurs

Projected Line: 200 points

San Antonio had 3 days off to rest and to improve their defense that has been inconsistent this season. Their defensive inconsistency has been weird lately, as we aren't talking about consecutive games where the Spurs stop defending. San Antonio has been able to play good defense in some games, but then they struggle in some other games. Take a look at their defensive ratings on their last six games: 98.79; 145.69; 103.54; 117.42; 100.41; 116.96! The Spurs are rested for tonight and Coach Popovich will certainly look for a defensive bounce back tonight. As weird as it may seem, San Antonio's defense is built to stop offensive teams like the Warriors. San Antonio's defense is an elite unit in defending at the rim and in 3pts defense and these are exactly the areas where the Warriors are more dangerous on offense. In the first two games this season between these two teams, San Antonio limited Golden State's offense to offensive ratings of just 99.5 and 100.3! Superb!

After getting crushed by Chicago at home, Golden State is coming from two excellent defensive games at Houston and at New Orleans, where they held these two teams to 78 and 72 points! Not only they protected the rim well, especially against Houston that shot just 15-29 (51.8%) FG at the rim, as also their perimeter defense was excellent, as the Rockets and the Hornets shot a combined of 12-52 3pts against them! I expect the same intensity from Golden State's defense tonight. For some reason, the Warriors's defense also matchs up with the Spurs's offense tonight, as San Antonio had offensive ratings of 106.64 and 97.34 against Golden State this season. The Warriors's main problem on defense against San Antonio is Stephen Curry and Jarrett Jack lacking the foot speed to stop Tony Parker, but the French player is injured and he won't play tonight. Therefore, I expect San Antonio to make a defensive bounce back tonight, while Golden State is currently on their best defensive sequence of the season. I expect a surprisingly defensive battle in here and so, I'll be taking the Under.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 617/618 Under 203 @ -110 / 1.91 on Bovada
