NBA - 707 San Antonio Spurs @ 708 Houston Rockets

These two teams have been showing some inconsistency lately. Houston is coming from a huge blowout win at home against Cleveland, on an easy game for them as they had a great matchup on an excellent spot as well. This is why I took the Rockets on that game. But the Rockets have been struggling with a serious problem: turnovers! They committed 21, 23, 18, 17, 16 and 22 turnovers on their last six games and they are last on the league on turnover rate with 14.93%, while they are even regressing with 15.8% TO rate since the All Star break and with 17.6% on their last five games! They will now face a Spurs team that has been an excellent rim defensive team throughout the whole season, while their 3pts defense has been poor since the All Star break. However, with the Spurs having an edge on rim defense, a key area for the Rockets's offense, combined with Houston's turnovers problems, I can see Houston having trouble on offense tonight.
Everytime I watch a game involving Houston lately, I feel that they are an incomplete team. These two teams know each other very well, and even though rookie Donatas Motiejunas is a nice shooter, he is very raw on defense, especially on his positioning. Well coached teams like San Antonio can easy exploit that and I'm sure Popovych will involve Tiago Splitter a lot on offense to take advantage of that. Not only Houston's defense is poor on 3pts defense just like San Antonio, as they are also very poor at the rim with 70% FG allowed at this area since the All Star break. Tony Parker returned well to the lineup with a nice second half against Utah and looking at Tim Duncan's excellent form, Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker back, combined with Tiago Splitter pounding Donatas Motiejunas, there will be just too much for the lowly Rockets's defense to handle tonight. San Antonio is 3-0 on this series and I expect them to pick up another win over the Rockets, who are indeed a nice matchup for them.
