NBA - 513 Brooklyn Nets @ 514 Los Angeles Clippers

This is a game between two teams who have been excellent on defensive rebounding, so first of all I don't expect a lot of second chance points to be scored tonight. Brooklyn's offense is based on a lot of isolations, post ups, spot ups and cuts. However, the Clippers's defense is an elite unit on pick and rolls (#1 in the league!), while they are also #4 in the league on post ups, something that will prevent Brook Lopez from having a big game tonight and I believe he is the key for the Nets's offense right now. The Clippers is just #25 in the league on 3pts defense since the All Star break with 40.2% 3pts, however Brooklyn doesn't have a lot of shooters to take full advantage of the only problem the Clippers's defense has been showing lately.
On the other hand, Brooklyn is also a good team on pick and roll ball handler defense and therefore, they will create problems to the Clippers's offense tonight, who relies on this kind of play to be effective on offense. I also have some question marks in here on the Clippers's coaching. The LA team is very prone to lose their identity on this kind of games and they get lost on very slow paced games at times, when they opponents slow down the tempo of their games. Their recent game against Memphis was a great example of that, where the Grizzlies slowed down the game tempo to a ridiculous 77.4 and the Clippers lost all their offensive flow on this kind of tempo, settling for isolation plays, an area where they aren't effective. Brooklyn will definitely try to set a slow pace tonight, in order to try to take advantage of their physical edge and to avoid getting punished by the Clippers's much quicker guards. I expect this game to be a slow paced contest, with both teams struggling on offense, as the Clippers struggle in getting any kind of offensive flow on this low paced games, while the Nets will struggle offensively tonight due to the Clippers's great post up defense that will shutdown Brook Lopez and Chris Paul's good defense that will limit Deron Williams. Therefore, I expect a low scoring game in here and so, I'll be taking the Under on this game.
