NBA Premium Play 02/22: San Antonio Spurs @ Golden State Warriors

NBA - 821 San Antonio Spurs @ 822 Golden State Warriors

Projected Line: pk line

Even with Kawhi Leonard out of yesterday's game, San Antonio still dominated the Clippers on the road. Gregg Popovich simply outcoached Vinny Del Negro as expected and so, he was able to rotate the team. However, the spot isn't easy for them tonight, as this is a back to back game for them, while being also their third game in four nights, with trips included for all these games. Even though the Warriors have been struggling lately and especially historically against San Antonio, I think Golden State has a good shot of winning this game outright for some reasons.

First of all, the Spurs's rebounding has been horrible lately. Tim Duncan is still far from reaching his normal rhythm and without Kawhi Leonard, Popovich will be using a 3-guards lineup once again with Danny Green, Gary Neal and Tony Parker. One of the Warriors's problems has been their rebounding as well, but they won't have this problem against the Spurs and in fact, I expect Golden State to dominate the glass tonight. Without Kawhi Leonard and Stephen Jackson, San Antonio has a lot of guards, but they don't have a single great individual defender and on a potential shootout against Golden State's guards, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Jarrett Jack should be able to hang around the Spurs's shooters tonight and perhaps even outshoot them!

During their road trip, the opponents that were able to use their size edge against the Spurs have been dominating the rebounding department, but the Spurs's speed on the wings with Tony Parker has been allowing San Antonio to keep winning. This was what happened on their wins against the Clippers and the Bulls. However, when San Antonio faces small lineups, they have been struggling and this should happen against Golden State's great shooting skills. The Warriors struggled on their last game against Phoenix and their lack of confidence was evident, however they got the win and they are now relieved and more confident to finally beat the Spurs tonight. I expect Golden State to be very motivated tonight and so, I'll be taking them in here.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 822 Golden State Warriors (+3,5) @ -110 / 1.91 on 5Dimes
