MLB - 925 Oakland Athletics @ 926 Pittsburgh Pirates

Oakland is 2-0 on this series with both wins being by 2-1! This will be a matchup between two LH pitchers and even though Oakland is #5 in the league versus LH pitchers, while Pittsburgh is just #19, the truth is that over the last 10 games, Oakland is hitting .219 BA versus LHP, while Pittsburgh is hitting .271 BA! The A's will start Tommy Milone tonight, who is coming from allowing three earned runs in 8.1 innings against the Royals last Friday. Milone was coming from five poor outings in a row until he played at Kansas City on his last start, where he pitched well. However, I don't trust him at all just because of one start, especially with so many poor starts in a row prior to that outing.
Pittsburgh will start Francisco Liriano, who allowed just two runs on a complete game against the Cubs last Friday. Liriano has now a 2.20 ERA with a 1.23 WHIP and a 8-3 record. His strikeout numbers have also been excellent with a great 9.56 K/9. He is several levels above Milone and with both offenses struggling a bit, this will be the key in here. Therefore, I'll be taking the Pirates tonight on a nice double revenge spot for them.
