MLB - 967 Chicago White Sox @ 968 Detroit Tigers (Starting Pitchers: C. Sale vs A. Sanchez) Detroit will start Anibal Sanchez today, who returned from the DL last Saturday against Cleveland, on a game where he allowed just one run in five innings. Sanchez left the game with 73 pitches, so there are some question marks around him, especially stamina-wise. He had a nice outing against Cleveland, but I wouldn't be surprise if he struggles today against the White Sox. On the other hand, Chris Sale will start for the White Sox, who is coming from an outing at Tampa Bay, where he allowed three runs (two earned) in seven innings. He has been amazing as of late and his 1.78 and 0.94 FIP on his last two outings show exactly that! The most impressive thing about Sale is that these outings were against Tampa Bay and Cleveland, teams that are #1 and #2 respectively on hitting versus LH pitchers this season! The White Sox have been struggling in giving Sale run support lately, but they have actually hitting quite well on this series. They knocked Verlander while scoring 11 runs on Game 1 and even though Rios went 0-4 last night, the White Sox still scored five runs.
