Washington won't use some of their regular players tonight, while Philadelphia won't be starting Jimmy Rollins, so I don't expect tonight's lineups to be very effective. So, I believe the difference will be in the pitching, with both teams starting players that spent most of the season in the bullpen. The difference is that while Washington will be starting Gotzelanny, who has been great throughout the whole season with some excellent numbers, the same can't be said for Rosenberg, who has a 6.86 ERA, 5.58 FIP and 4.57 xFIP.
With both teams missing some of their best batters tonight, I believe the difference of this game will be on the starting pitcher, where Washington will clearly have a SP edge over the Phillies. Washington is also still fighting to be the #1 seed on the NL, so I expect them to fully motivated tonight. Therefore, I'll be taking the Nationals in here.
