Baltimore will start Chen tonight and he will be making his fifth start against the Yankees this season. He dominated the NY team in the first two starts, but he was pounded in the last two. He had his worst month of the season in September, with 5.05 ERA, 5.51 FIP and a 4.73 xFIP. On his first postseason appearance and immediately against the Yankees, I believe he will struggle tonight, especially with the Yankees hitting so well right now.
The Yankees will start Pettitte, who has a lot of experience of course, but he didn't impress me at all on his three starts since he cameback from the DL: 4.76/5.57/5.86, 0.00/2.59/3.33 and 0.00/3.09/3.98 ERA/FIP/xFIP. He had his advanced numbers higher than the ERA in all his three starts and these three outings were against Toronto twice and Minnesota, two lowly teams. Baltimore hits better against LH pitchers and in a good offensive spot for both teams, I believe this will be a high scoring game and so, I'll be taking the Over in here.
