Both teams are definitely struggling to score on this series, as the first two games ended with 2-3 and 4-0 results. Both Seattle and Oakland are showcasing good starting pitching, good bullpen action, while offenses are showing that they aren't good enough to outplay the good pitching. Oakland can be an elite hitting team against LH pitchers, but the story is completely different against RH pitchers, while Seattle is an overall poor hitting team.
I believe today's game will be similar to the first two games of this series, as both starting pitchers are currently on fire right now. Seattle will start Hisashi Iwakuma today, who is coming for today's game with five days of rest and he is also coming from three outings where he didn't allow a single earned run! His command has also been great, while he has also only allowed 4, 3 and 7 hits in these games. The same can be said about Bartolo Colon, Oakland's starting pitcher for today, who allowed just 0, 1, 0 and 0 earned runs on his last four games! Of course Colon had some favorable matchups, including the struggling Yankees, an unfocused Milwaukee due to some doping news, the White Sox and Houston. However, Seattle can be also considered as a favorable matchup for Colon, as they are #24 in the league versus RH pitchers with just .223 BA on their last 10 games against them. I expect this game to be another low scoring game between these two teams and so, I'll be taking the Under in here.
