Seattle will start their ace Felix Hernandez tonight, who is coming from dominating the Yankees with just one run allowed in seven innings. He had five days of rest to prepare tonight's game and he has been great this season on this spot with a 2.28 ERA and .627 OPS when he has 5 days of rest! The Athletics are a good hitting team versus LH pitchers, but they tend to struggle much more against RH pitchers such as Hernandez. Therefore, I expect "King" Hernandez to have another great outing at Oakland tonight.
The Athletics will start A.J. Griffin, who is coming from a start against the White Sox, where he allowed four runs on 7.1 innings. Griffin has been very inconsistent this season and I can't trust him to be perfect tonight, as that's exactly what Oakland will need from him, as Hernandez is likely to dominate Oakland's lineup tonight. I believe Seattle has a lot of value tonight as the underdogs, therefore I'll be taking them in here.
