Looking at the current conference standings, these two teams will very likely face each other in the first round of the playoffs and with both teams having a similar record right now, they will be fighting for who gets the home court advantage in that series in the last week of the regular season. The head to head is currently at 2-0 in favor of Boston, so this is a double revenge game for Atlanta, who will also try to leave a statement against a completely shorthanded Celtics.
Boston will be playing without their Big 4 tonight (Garnett, Pierce, Allen, Rondo) and their starting lineup tonight will be formed by Dooling + Bradley + Pavlovic + Bass + Stiemsma! With the Hawks fired up for tonight, it won't be hard for Atlanta to defend Boston with this lineup, as in fact the Hawks have been doing a good job in defending in the games against the Celtics, as both games between these two teams were low scoring affair. So, the key in here will be what Atlanta will do tonight offensively. The Hawks are coming from two big offensive games against Detroit and Toronto, where they had no problems in scoring, as both opponents had no transition defense, allowing Atlanta to score 28 and 27 fast break points. Boston won't facilitate that much, as their lineup for tonight lacks talent but they will play hard, knowing how their coach Rivers is.
Therefore, I expect this game to be a half court game, played on a low pace. Boston will heavily struggle on offense and they will get blown out in here, but their defense will still do a decent job. Therefore, I'll be taking both Atlanta and the Under in here.
