Yesterday the Spurs toyed with the Warriors, but they had already tonight's game on their mind, as their starters didn't play more than 20 minutes yesterday! This is a revenge game for San Antonio, who were humiliated at home against the Lakers in the last game between these two teams. Note that the effort of the Spurs in that game didn't exist and they gave up on the game very early. San Antonio had just 1 offensive board the whole game! However, in that game it was still visible that San Antonio has some edges that they'll explore tonight. The speed of San Antonio's guards is evident, especially with the rotation they have, as they shot 10-15 FG in transitions and 5-6 FG in cuts in their first game against the Lakers. San Antonio also had 15-22 FG at the rim and 13-24 on 3pts!
With a bigger effort on rebounding, San Antonio will easily have an offensive edge over the Lakers today, as against Dallas, they allowed the Mavs to shoot 12-28 FG from 16-23 feet and 12-21 3pts! On the other hand, I expect coach Pop to make some adjustments on defense by using zone defense to stop the Lakers' frontcourt. With revenge on their mind and a clear offensive edge for this contest, I'll be taking San Antonio today to have a comfortable win.
