This is a horrible spot for Boston, as they will be playing their 5th game in 6 days and their 11th game in 15 days! Worse than that, their last night's game against the Knicks was quite physical in the second half with a lot of fouls. Boston had Pierce with 43 minutes, Rondo 39 minutes, Garnett 35 minutes, Bass 35 minutes and Bradley 38 minutes, while their bench was so poor that they got outscored by the Knicks 2-55!
On the other side, coach Van Gundy made some adjustments and now they seem to be used to play without Howard. They are now being more athletic in attacking the rim with Ryan Anderson showing some great form. Nobody besides Howard used to penetrate into the paint, but now the team is showing good mix and they will surprise their opponents as they aren't expecting that. In their last game against the Sixers, Orlando shot 21-30 FG at the rim, while also being aggressive on boards with 7-10 FG on offensive rebounds and 5-6 FG in cuts. Besides that, they are having a good ball movement and their 3pts shooting continues to be great.
The Celtics will lack the required fresh legs to make good close outs, while on the other hand, Boston won't overpower Orlando's defense, so the Magic will be okay for this game. Nelson will struggle against Bradley and Rondo (if he plays), but the physical edge and double revenge mindset for Orlando will be too much for them not to be competitive tonight. Therefore, I'll take Orlando in here.
