Charlotte on a half court against the Hornets, who are a decent but not awesome defensive team, scored 67 points with 76 offensive rates. In fact, in their last 3 games, the Bobcats averaged 87.8 offensive rates. Their problems are being the expected ones, as they lack a big guy who can be good down low and with Charlotte shooting less than 50% FG at the rim and with their perimeter shooting being even worse, with the rookie Walker playing major minutes, even though he "leads" the league in worst FG%! They are also a terrible rebounding team as well, having grabbed just 45.3% of the boards in their last 5 games and today against the best rebounding team in the league, they will heavily struggle.
On the other hand, Chicago is coming from a loss at home against the lowly Wizards, so they will fired up to bounce back from such a poor loss. The Bulls were sloppy with the ball, having committed 17 turnovers that resulted in 27 points for Washington, while they shot just 8-19 FG at the rim and got outscored 48-22 in the paint! To make things even worse, they actually opened the 4th quarter with a 65-57 lead, but then they were outscored by 30-21! With Rose out once again, the Bulls lost offensive flow and their ball movement has lost quality as well. They keep struggling to score at the rim, having just shot 53% FG from this area in their last 5 games. However, the combo defense+rebounding from the Bulls will be more than enough to blowout the lowly Bobcats tonight, as Chicago will have a tremendous bench edge on this contest. Looking at all these edges, I'll be taking the fired up Bulls tonight. I'm be taking also the Under in here, as Charlotte will heavily struggle to score today against a fired up top defensive team.
