This is a terrible spot for Boston, who has their #4 seed pretty much secured (as a division leader, they'll be in the top 4) and who will be playing their 10th game in just 14 days! Even though Garnett, Pierce and Allen didn't play in Charlotte in the last game (Pierce and Allen are banged up), Rondo had to play more than 40 minutes in that game! Boston with their small ball has been quite effective, however the Knicks are also playing small ball right now and with a lot of effectiveness.
The Celtics are now a good matchup for the Knicks, as Shumpert can defend Rondo, while Fields can also guard Pierce decently. As Bass is mostly a mid-range shooter on offense, Melo won't be focused a lot in the interior defense tonight, something that will leave more energy for him to use on offense. The Knicks are fired up for this game as they are still in the real fight for the playoffs and their schedule isn't easy at home. Therefore, I expect a bigger effort from the Knicks on this game than the Celtics, especially as this will be also a double revenge game for them. So, I'll be taking the Knicks to win comfortably in here.
