Atlanta had a pathetic performance yesterday in a home game against this very same Raptors. I've never seen them with such little effort, especially on defense. Toronto didn't even need to have great ball movement to shoot 55% FG, even though they had just 16 assists in 41 FG made! Basically Toronto used their guards with aggressiveness, who then would penetrate into the basket with no opposition from the Hawks defense. Toronto shot 19-22 FG at the rim after three games in a row where they shot 7-19 FG, 7-14 FG and 8-16 FG on this area! Atlanta's lack of effort was so evident that the Raptors shot 8-8 FG in transition for 14 fast break points scored when they were averaging 3.66 fast break points in their last 6 games!
The Hawks' lack of effort on offense was also evident on their offense, as they were too soft, they didn't attack the rim and coach Casey even inserted a zone defense to take advantage of that with success. Now on a back to back game between these two teams, this time in Toronto, I expect the Hawks to come fired up and get revenge from their terrible loss yesterday. I don't believe Toronto will have the same offensive game they had yesterday, while Atlanta will have a much bigger defensive effort, while they will also be more aggressive on the offensive floor, even though Toronto is a good defensive team. Looking at the specific spot for this game, I'll be taking both Atlanta and the Under in here.
